Parking and Transportation
Each hour several hundred individuals are moving across campus. Most of our non-residential students drive to class while residential students walk or bike. To ensure traffic moves in a safe and orderly manner, UMHB has developed a traffic management plan. As part of this plan the university seeks to provide an adequate number of parking spaces, as well as, develop appropriate policies regarding transportation on campus.
Within this section of our virtual headquarters you will find information pertaining to:
Parking Lot and Road Closures
Parking Management and Enforcement
Pedestrian Maps
Violation Descriptions, Fines, and Appeals
Please remember that the operation of a motor vehicle on campus is a privilege granted by the university. If we are to be successful in meeting the transportation needs of our community, we will need your assistance in complying with university policies. Please be familiar with parking requirements and motor vehicle laws. If you have any questions pertaining to transportation, please contact the UMHB Police Department at 254.295.5555 or clahey@umhb.edu .
Disclaimer: The university police department makes an effort to provide protection for vehicles parked on camps. However, UMHB assumes no responsibility for losses or damage. When a vehicle is parked, it should be locked and valuables removed or locked in the glove compartment or trunk.
