Gold Parking
As the university continues to implement recommendations contained in the Master Plan, several changes in the transportation infrastructure will occur. This includes the closure of King Street on March 8th and the future closure of Moore Street. The closure of these streets will dramatically enhance pedestrian safety and move the university closer to its goal of becoming a pedestrian campus.
As a result of these changes, parking within the academic core will be limited. To effectively manage the space available, the university will reserve the following parking lots for students with gold parking decals between the hours of 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday thru Friday.
1. Lot 2 Meyers Christian Studies
2. Lot 3a 900 Block of Pearl between 9th and 10th
3. Lot 3b 900 Block of College between 9th and 10th
4. Lot 4a Parker Academic Center
5. Lot 7 9th & Wells (current location of the police department)
Commuter students may obtain a gold permit at the University Police Department located at 816 College Street beginning February 24th, 2012.Gold parking decals are not issued to residential students and residents of the College View Apartments.
